Ron's Family Affair Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
No fancy restaurant, not needed. The food was outstanding. We had the ribs, fried catfish, greens, cabbage, and sweet potatoes. If you are passing through, be sure to stop here. You will not be disappointed.
Ron’s Family Affair Restaurant is my favorite place to eat when I pass through or visit family in West Memphis, AR. The delicious down home cooking, large portions, and friendly family atmosphere keep me coming back for more.
Great Food!! Quality and quantity is A1 would recommend. Pops that fix the plates, prepare them like you’re at home. Most of the time when I’m in the area I stop by get that home cooked meal before getting back on the road. If they had truck parking ill stop by more
This is a real gem in West Memphis. I went for lunch and had the bake chicken, pinto beans, greens. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was amazing and the facility was clean. I highly recommend.
So I was looking for some good hot food and I happened to run up on this place..let me tell you about this lil gem and the couple that owns it. FANTASTICALLY WONDERFUL DELECTABLE FOOD. AND THE SERVICE WAS THE QUALITY OF SERVICE ONE WOULD EXPECT IN A RESTAURANT FRIENDLY UPBEAT KIND VERY KIND. I JUST LOVE THESE 2. I will always be a customer here every time I hit town . May God bless you both I love you..merry Christmas this time round was just as fantastic as the other oh yes I got 2 plates lol one for now and one for later
Southern cooking and plenty to eat. Walked in the doors not expecting much but I was so surprised. I couldn't eat all the food they put on my plate. The porkchops were so tender. All the sides made feel like a kid sitting at the dinner table with my family as a kid. The gentlemen that waited on us were friendly and polite. They kept checking on us to make sure we were good. I wish we had restaurants like this where we live. We'll be back.
Rich. Plentiful. Delectable. I rolled into town on a random Wednesday afternoon in search of a warm meal. Situated modestly on a backroad of a commercial district, Ron and his homestyle cooking offered me just that — and more. I stepped up to the cafeteria-style serving station and ordered a plate of smothered pork chops, greens and mashed potatoes topped with pork chop gravy. My friend ordered the chicken and dumplings with greens and corn. We both got cornbread. Including a sweet tea and Dr. Pepper, our ticket was barely over $30. I’ve never had such a humbly priced, downright delicious meal in my life. And I eat cheap. When I went to sit down, every table was spotless and offered hot sauce along with spicy vinegar in addition to the ordinary provisions. My friend’s chicken fell of the bone. My pork was perfectly tender. Not sure if the potatoes were instant mix, but they certainly tasted homemade. Everything else — the gravy, the corn, the bread and the greens — was perfectly juicy and seasoned. The dining room itself was silent, not because it was empty; because everyone there was busy eating. As it should be. Our chef, Ron, seemingly knew many of the other patrons who filed in and out, and if that’s not a testament, I don’t know what is. He greeted everyone with a warm smile and wasn’t quick to take the praise he so clearly deserves. By the end, each of our nearly 2-pound plates were basically empty and our hearts were full. Ron offered to clear our tables and upon paying at the counter, there was no option to leave a tip. That might be my only complaint. But a tip isn’t enough to express my gratitude for this lovely gem; so here I am. I will be back. Thanks Ron!
It was great! The food is delicious!! AND seasoned. The folks that run it were friendly and so helpful. If I lived closer, I'd be big as a barn!! Definitely will go again!
